Len Kasten is a UFO researcher and freelance writer. He intensively studied the Edgar Cayce Readings at the A.R.E. in Virginia Beach and has been a lifelong devotee of astrology and theosophy. He is a former member of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) and the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), and he is the president of the American Philosopher Society. He lives in Casa Grande, Arizona.

Len Kasten has a B.A. degree from Cornell University in Liberal Arts, and an M.F.A. degree in Creative Writing from National University. After graduating from Cornell he entered the U.S. Air Force Aviation Cadet program. While in the Air Force he experienced a UFO encounter that had a transformative effect on his life, although he didn’t realize it until a few years later. After serving in the Air Force he moved to Richmond, Virginia. On frequent trips to Virginia Beach, he spent a lot of time in the extensive New Age library at the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.), the organization founded by psychic Edgar Cayce, where he acquired a self-education in metaphysics.

He has written over sixty published articles for Atlantis Rising Magazine in the U.S., and New Dawn Magazine in Australia/New Zealand including ten cover stories. His first book, The Secret History of Extraterrestrials published by Inner Traditions-Bear & Company in November, 2010, was critically acclaimed, was reviewed in Cornell Alumni Magazine, and achieved rapid success. His second book, Secret Journey to Planet Serpo, published in May, 2013.
